The international oenologist Roland Birr, a recognised connoisseur of culture and the region for three decades, takes you on an authentic and above all traditional-culinary adventure on open log fires from Cape Town through the South African semi-desert plateau Tankwa-Karoo to a private game, cattle and Sheep farm in the south of Namibia, then back along the Orange River through the diamond fields and Namaqualand along the west coast back to Cape Town … as in all his travels “off the beaten track”, far from any tourist path or game-parks.
